Why is period pad not free ? 2Baba Curiously Asks, Spark Reactions
Veteran singer 2Baba has questioned why ladies cannot use sanitary pads for free in public restrooms.
The singer stated that if tissue paper are made available and free for all to use, sanitary pads should also be available and free.
This question has however sparked mixed reactions from social media users.
Many people who commented on the post said that since they are now quite expensive, sanitary pads really ought to be free for women. Others said that having access to free pads would help because many young women use unclean products. Others asserted that if the pads were left in public restrooms, they might be stolen or used in blood rituals.
