Mo Salah sends message to Jurgen Klopp over Liverpool’s tactics.
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has finally opened up about Jurgen Klopp’s tactics. He claims that the role he has played for Liverpool over the past five or six years will bring out the best in him, although will do whatever he is asked to by his manager.
Salah scored in a 2-0 win over Napoli on Tuesday night, starting on the right flank in a 4-3-3, where he has enjoyed a huge amount of success with the Reds in recent years.
Due to injuries to players like Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz, as well as the departure of Sadio Mane and the addition of Darwin Nunez over the summer and a general lack of form, Jurgen Klopp has changed things up a bit this season, and Salah has not always played in his usual position.
The Egyptian claims he will gladly accept any position in the team he is given but feels it is obvious where he has found the most success at Liverpool and where he is able to perform at his best.

‘It’s not my job, it’s the gaffer’s job,’ Salah told BT Sport when questioned about the more familiar formation against Napoli.
‘Any position that makes me comfortable, I’m happy about it, but I’ve played in the position for five, six years, I have to say yes, that position is the best for me.
‘But I’m not the manager, the manager decides the tactics and, as a player, you have to follow the leader.’
Napoli has been in outstanding form so far this season in both Serie A and the Champions League, so Salah was thrilled with the outcome on Tuesday at Anfield.
Luciano Spalletti’s side had gone 21 matches without defeat before their trip to Anfield.
‘To win against one of the best teams in the world and one of the best coaches in the world – it’s always a good feeling, but we just need to carry on,’ he said. ‘It’s a good result for us. Hopefully, it gives us more confidence and [we] just now need to focus on the cup and in the league and carry on.’
