How Mr Eazi asked me to choose between $5k and a promotion deal β Joeboy

Joeboy recounts the hard call Mr Eazi forced him to make during their first discussion.
Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa, popularly known as Joeboy, has recounted how his working relationship with his boss, Mr Eazi, started and how the music boss gave him a tough choice to make.
Joeboy joined Empawa Africa, which Mr Eazi owns, in 2017.
He stated that he first met Eazi after he released a song and emailed the video to every musician he could think of, and it piqued his interest, prompting the Hol Up crooner to reach out to him.
In an interview with a UK-based broadcaster, Adesope Olajide, the ‘Baby’ singer, stated that a friend alerted him to a comment from Eazi on his post.
According to him, Mr Eazi gave him two options after telling him that he enjoyed the music.
The Empawa Africa CEO gave him the option of receiving $5,000 or having him (Eazi) shoot the music video and promote the song.
Joeboy claimed that after consulting with friends about his decision, they advised him to accept the cash because Mr Eazi might forget him.
After giving it some thought, the singer claimed that he had come to the conclusion that declining the $5,000 would be in his best interests.
He then notified Eazi of his decision months later, and that is how they released a single and began working together.

In another interview, Joeboy stated that the charge made by French music sensation Asa that he stole her intellectual property is untrue.
You might recall that Asa issued him a copyright infringement notice and requested N300 million in damages, alleging that his newly released song, Contour, was ripped off from a composition she recorded on September 22nd, 2020. She also claimed that she had recorded the song on that date.
But in a recent interview with Pulse, Joeboy clarified the situation and said that the beat she said was supplied to him by producer Tempoe.
