The Manchester United player granted bail ahead of the attempted rape and assault trial.
After a Private hearing at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court, the football player for Manchester United, Mason Greenwood who is accused of attempted rape, assault, and controlling and coercive behaviour, was granted bail.
The player appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.
Following the hearing on Wednesday, a court representative announced that bail had been granted with the requirements that the defendant must live at a residence on Bow Green Road in Bowdon and not contact any witnesses, including the complainant.
Greenwood did not appear for the short hearing and is due to appear in court again on 21 November. All three charges relate to the same woman.

The player was initially detained in January in connection with claims involving a young woman after pictures and videos were uploaded online.
He had been on bail but was arrested in the Trafford area on Saturday for an alleged breach of conditions. The attempted rape is alleged to have happened in October 2021.
Between November 2018 and October of this year, he is said to have engaged in controlling and coercive behaviour, including accessing and monitoring the complainant’s social media accounts and making threatening and disparaging remarks to her.
The charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm is dated December 2021.
The forward, who has played once for England, has been barred from participating in team activities at Old Trafford.
He was also dropped from active squads on Electronic Arts’ Fifa 22 game, and Nike halted and later cancelled its sponsorship agreement with him.
