Mavin Record star Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe known professionally as Ayra Starr has spoken candidly about the mental state she was in when she wrote her most recent hit single, “Rush.”
Although Ayra Starr is the newest Sabi girl in music, the singer is letting us know that she has experienced moments of insecurity and was unsure when she wrote her hit song, “Rush.”
Since its release on September 16th, “Rush” by Ayra Starr has shot to the top of the charts. It even briefly held the top spot in the country.

Currently, Rush is ranked fourth on the Apple Music Top 100 Nigeria charts.
The singer discussed this in an interview with Cool FM, revealing that while she had been in a state of uncertainty, the song had served as a way for her to reassure herself.
Ayra Starr said; “When I made Rush, I was in a phase where I was unsure of myself. And I grew up, a confident person. I felt like everything was someone else’s idea, it wasn’t me, so I wanted to find myself, be in charge, take agency and that’s when I made Rush.
