St. Seii explores his adaptability and capacity on Bittersweet EP (Review).

The Saint releases BITTERSWEET, a body of work inspired by sentiments of heartbreak and his obsession with the feminine derrière, just one year after releasing his debut EP, Vibes from $enseii, an incredible masterpiece, and changing his stage name from $ENSEII to St. Seii.

He demonstrates his adaptability and ability to turn his emotions into melodies supported by exquisite lyricism. He analyzes the album here, track by track.

“ZOMBIE” “In the second week of June 2021, I created Zombie. The rhythm had been supplied to me by Wiza a week earlier, but I had no idea how to use it because it didn’t sound anything like my music.

At the time, I was in a long-term relationship with an ex that I truly enjoyed, but I always had a prediction for how our relationship would end, and it so happened that the projections were accurate.

Things that I foresaw were happening precisely as they did, thus yes, the zombie was created 7-8 months before the ship went down fully.

    THE CHERIE KOKO
“Cherie Koko is a term used to describe a woman who is so close to you that you would genuinely do anything to keep her by your side forever.

This song’s theme emphasizes the hurt that comes from being misunderstood, as well as how the inaccurate interpretation of you leaves you powerless because you can’t change their perception of you or convince them to love you completely.

    “ETERIMA”

“The same ex who inspired ZOMBIE also served as the inspiration for Eterima.

Basically, I was letting it be known that I didn’t require someone to love or be in a relationship with me and that the tough love and drama weren’t working for me.

Feeling undervalued led me to chant “but this gbedu go make you know my worth” and “You’ll see me up there at the top someday,” if you catch what I’m saying.

He then shifts the tempo to a funky, upbeat reggae track and tells us more.
