Tems features on ‘BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER’ soundtrack
The Tems season has finally begun as the famous musician recently appeared on the soundtrack for the blockbuster film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Tems performs “No Woman, No Cry” by Bob Marley for the soundtrack of the latest recent “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” trailer.
At San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, Marvel Studios revealed the trailer for the blockbuster follow-up, which is slated for release on November 11.
Tems‘ performance of “No Woman, No Cry” opens the teaser before Kendrick Lamar’s resolute song, “Alright,” (2015) effortlessly follows.
Tems was asked what song she would remix if given the chance during a Billboard interview.
To which she responded,
“I would choose Bob Marley’s “Is This Love, or No Woman Don’t Cry” because those are one of my favourites”.
Tems performs an extremely sombre cover of Marley’s song in the two-minute teaser, containing the phrase “good friends we have, and good friends we’ve lost.”
The poignant trailer hints at how the MCU franchise’s heroes will handle the loss of T’Challa, formerly portrayed by Chadwick Boseman, who passed away at age 43 in 2020 following a four-year fight with cancer.
The Ryan Coogler-directed sequel stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, and Tenoch Huerta in his MCU debut as Namor, King of Atlantis. The film opens on November 11, 2022.
