The American singer sentenced to 30 years for racketeering, sex trafficking.
American R&B singer Robert Sylvester Kelly professionally known as R.Kelly is set to spend several years behind bars as he’s been hit with a prison sentence of 30 years.
The verdict on the American R&B star is finally out, and the singer is set to be imprisoned for a long time as he receives a sentence that will keep him in prison for several years.
R. Kelly is popularly known for RnB hits such as I Believe I Can Fly, I’m Your Angel with Celine Dion, Same Girl with Usher and several other songs.
He was also the husband to the late singer, Aaliyah, who he married illegally while she was underaged.

According to CNN, U.S. District Court Judge Ann Donnelly sentenced the singer to 30 years in prison in a Brooklyn courtroom after he was found guilty on all nine counts in his sex trafficking case.
Ann Donnelly said; “These crimes were calculated and carefully planned and regularly executed for almost 25 years.”
The 55-year-old singer, known as the King of R&B, has been dogged with accusations of sexual abuse against young adults and minors for the majority of his career and was arrested in 2019 after being indicted by grand juries in his hometown of Illinois.
These claims were also strengthened by the documentary, Surviving R. Kelly which spoke to several of his victims and the Mute R. Kelly movement.
