Burial Rites Of Osinachi Nwachukwu Begins
Tuesday saw the beginning of the funeral rites for the late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu.
Osinachi died on April 8, 2022, after her children, family, and colleagues alleged she was beaten to death.
Peter Nwachukwu, the late Ekwueme crooner’s husband, was accused of brutalising her to death.
Nwachukwu was detained by the police after the accusations were made against him, and he was charged with allegedly breaking Sections 104 and 379 of the 2015 Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA), Section 221 of the Penal Code, and the 2015 Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act (VAPP).

Amid the allegations, Nwachukwu had denied brutalizing Osinachi to death, stressing that she died of lung cancer.
Despite his denial, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court had remanded Nwachukwu in Kuje Correctional Facility.
However, the burial rites sighted by Mp3bullet.ng show that today (Tuesday) is the praise night at Michael Okpara Square in Enugu by 7pm.
A prayer night will be held in memory of the singer on the 24th of June, at the Amakpoko Umauka Central School Isochi Umunochi, Abia State.
The lying in state would be held on the 25th of June, 2022.
