Nigerian Afrobeat singer, songwriter and performer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has revealed the story that inspired his smash tune ‘Calm Down’.
The singer opened up on the scenario that prompted him to create the smash tune.
The Afro-fusion tune, which was produced by Andre Vibez, became an instant favourite and has gone on to the top charts and set many milestones, even on a global scale.

The Mavin signee told Glitch Africa that the song was inspired by a scenario in which he met a girl at a party and tried to get to know her, which he found difficult.
According to him, the intense interaction forced him to tell the girl to “Calm down,” an expression that means “take things easy” and allows him to express how he truly feels.
