Naira Marley has expressed his thoughts on the use of awards to recognize and reward hard work.
Naira Marley told The Nation during his album listening party that he isn’t a fan of awards, even though he hopes his new album, God’s Timing The Best (GTTB), wins a Grammy.
“Insha Allah, but I don’t believe in awards. I just believe it is going to do very well,” said the “Coming” crooner.
On his expectations for the album, he said,
“The album is a banger, it is party vibes, you’re going to dance, you’ve got the best of Naira Marley. I’m expecting it to go far, you know what it is.”

Since its release, GTTB has hit the no 1 spot on Apple Music’s top Nigerian albums chart and also topped several music charts.
In other news, Mp3bullet.ng reported that Naira Marley explained the meaning of his debut album titled “God Timing Is The Best (GTTB).”
Since his inception to fame in 2018, Naira Marley has been a key singer in distributing street anthems and club-bursting tunes.
His music catalogue spans different blends of genres, from the street Afrobeat to the South African Amapiano.
At the listening party of his debut album, The singer revealed the hidden meaning and the reason he had named it ‘God’s Timing’s The Best.’
He admitted that he had been attempting to do things his own way and at his own pace, but that it had not worked out until God had actually assigned.
