This is how Victony rises to fame from wheelchair user to household name.
Victony is one of the hottest young musicians in the Nigerian music industry and here is how he rise to fame from wheelchair user to household name.
After surviving a fatal accident that cost his friend’s life, Victony rose to glory from his effort and hard work in his craft, prior to the tragic incident he has been on the verge of taking absolute control of the game.
When the event occurred, the artist was returning home from a birthday celebration hosted by Oxlade, another Nigerian singer, with his buddies.
After the vehicle accident, he needed surgery and has been wheelchair-bound ever since.
After being engaged in an accident on April 25, 2021, Victony was restricted to a wheelchair.
However, as soon as he recovered from his surgery, he resurfaced with Mayorkun’s collaboration titled Holy Father; off Mayorkun’s studio album ‘Back in the Office’
That experience has coloured his musical viewpoint ever since. Last year’s ‘Dark Times,’ released three months later, featured two tracks that gave a genuine portrayal of a survivor’s thoughts, such as the moving “Pray,” which ended with a sorrowful prayer from his mother.
Victony’s inner self was represented in the song ‘Nataraja,’ which he co-wrote with Rexxie.
Yesterday, the first anniversary of the accident, Victony’s new song “Kolomental” was published. In honour of his cherished friend, he posted a quick message on Twitter.
That deep air of melancholy persists on the album. The Blaise Beatz-produced track starts off with the twinkly chords that you’d expect from a Victony track.
Victony’s ability to adapt actual experiences into completely realized songs has gotten him a lot of attention.
The singer returned from a horrific vehicle accident last year to stamp his transcendental sound on listeners.
Victony’s sleek vocals were the major element on possibly the biggest single of the year (“Holy Father”) after the two-track ‘Dark Times’ provided his most contemplative song yet (“Pray”).
