Victony drops note on the one year of his tragic accident.
Nigerian Fast-rising artist, Victony is looking back on a tragic accident that almost saw him say goodbye to the earth.
Recall that in 2020, the singer was involved in a tragic accident that almost took his life and left him dependent on a wheelchair.
According to reports, the rapper was said to be returning home in the early hours of the 26th of April from a birthday party organised by Oxlade, another Nigerian singer, in the company of his friends when the incident occurred.
While one of the occupants of the car, Doyin lost his life in the mishap, others including Victony survived.
However, the singer was severely injured and had to undergo surgery. He has since then been wheelchair-ridden.
During that period, several Nigerians using the hashtag #PrayForVictony have taken to Twitter to wish the singer a successful surgery and quick recovery. A GoFundme was also created to crowdfund for his hospital bills.
In a chat with Clout Africa, the singer said he was reclused from family and friends after the incident.

He also said that the sympathetic messages from well-wishers also made him exhaustive.
“After the accident happened, I was in a messed up space, physically and mentally. I didn’t want to talk to family or friends and I just wanted to be by myself. The feeling was exhausting and I didn’t want to be around people,” Victony said.
“Hearing ‘sorry’ all the time is listening to the same thing like 5000 times. I just wanted to be by myself.”
On the first anniversary of the incident, Victony took Twitter to thank God for saving his life.
He wrote;
“On this day last year, God saved my life.”
