Beninese veteran singer, songwriter, and performer Angélique Kidjo has been the focus of Nigerians’ attention as her album “Mother Nature” has risen in the Nigerian album charts after her Grammy win.
The singer is getting the required attention in the Nigerian music scene after her win at the 64th Grammy Awards.
On April 3, 2021, the 61-year-old won a Grammy for Best Global Music Album at the 64th Grammy Awards, defeating Nigerian singers Wizkid, Femi Anikulapo Kuti, and others who were nominated in that category.
Angelique Kidjo’s “Mother Nature,” which won Best Global Music Album and featured Nigerian musicians Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, and Mr Eazi, has gained popularity among Nigerians.
