Kashy Godson
The CEO of Cash Records, Babatunde Oyerinde aka Kashy Godson, 27, died on the 7th of March, 2021, after jumping from a storey building in Ghana.
This disastrous event happened minutes after his signee, Barry Jhay, posted a video of himself bleeding from the mouth after a severe beating by the deceased.

Sound Sultan
Olanrewaju Fasasi, best identified as Sound Sultan, was a super-talented artist, songwriter, and producer.
He died on July 11, after a long-fought battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma, at the age of 45.
His music legacy spawned over a career of 20 years and more. Finally, the ‘Motherland‘ crooner was buried in New Jersey, United States on the 12th of July according to Islam rites.
Sir Victor Uwaifo
This is another talented Nigerian entertainer who died in the year 2021.
Sir Victor was a unique musician, songwriter, instrumentalist, sculptor, and university lecturer.
Throughout his career, the music legend won several awards such as; first gold disc in Africa (Joromi) released in 1965 and seven other gold discs for ‘Guitar boy,” Arabade’, ‘Ekassa series’ and ‘Akwete music.’
Further, Sir Victor was recognized as Nigeria’s most educated performing music legend and artist with a Ph.D. in architectural sculpture.
His nephew, Uwaifo Peter de Rock, broke the news of his death on his Facebook page. He died on August 28, at the age of 80.
Obama DMW
In June 2021, the Nigerian music industry witnessed the death of another entertainer, Habeeb Uthman.
Fondly referred to as Obama DMW, he was a personal aide of the music sensation, Davido.
He passed away at Ever-care hospital in Lekki, Lagos, a few hours after driving himself to the hospital, where he complained of breathing difficulty.
During his lifetime, he was also the CEO of Obama Music Worldwide (OMW).
Dokta Frabz
Real name Ayorinde Faboro, aka Dokta Frabz, this renowned music producer died around the latter part of February 2021.
Reports surrounding the cause of his death were unclear as some reported he died from gunshots, while others supposed he died in his sleep.
However, up until his death, the beatmaker had worked with superstars like Wizkid, Davido, Omawumi, and so on.

Lala (Nigerian entertainers who died in 2021)
In the month of March, popular “Idi Nla” crooner, Lala reportedly died after months of completing his Master’s degree.
The singer, who thrust into the spotlight after releasing ‘Idi Nla’ featuring the late rapper Dagrin, died on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, as announced by friends on Twitter.
BeatsbyJayy
On Sunday, November 21st, 2021, the shocking news hit the industry again, as the raving producer reportedly passed on.
Beats By Jayy was a frequent collaborator with M.I Abaga, AQ, Blaqbonez, and Loose Kaynon prior to his demise.
Also, he worked with iLLBliss on songs and was the main producer for Cheque’s debut album, Bravo.
Until his demise, BeatsbyJayy was working on his fourth body of work as well as an EP with Jay Teaser.
