Nigerian superstars, Wizkid, Davido, and others have proven once again to be the music giants of Africa, as they secure several wins at the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) 2021.
Nigerian singers, Wizkid, Davido, and others win big at the 8th edition of the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) that was held on December 12th, 2021.
Celebrating African music and African music artists has been the fuel behind AFRIMMA awards, and the body has consistently uplifted African music on the world stage since inception.
Anderson Obiagwu, the founder of the music awards ceremony in Africa stated that “We are committed to crossing boundaries with music as ever, the world has been through a lot in this season of pandemic, but music has been a constant ray of light through dark times.

This year’s theme is ‘Flavors of Africa’ as Afrimma brings together the different flavors of Africa to create a festival of beautiful music.
Wizkid got three awards for the night as he got the awards for Artiste of the Year, Song of The Year, and the category of “Crossing Boundaries With Music”, making him the biggest winner for the night.
Adekunle Gold also won the Best Male Artiste for West Africa while his wife, Simi, got the award for Best Female Artiste West Africa.
Respectively, Davido secured the spot for Best Collaboration with Focalistic’s Ke Star Remix tune.
In addition, gospel minister, Mercy Chinwo took home Best Gospel Artiste of the year.
