Fela Kuti’s Grandson, Made Kuti is over the moon as he was nominated alongside his father in the Best Global Music Album category.
Made Kuti was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2022 for his collaboration with his father, Femi Kuti, on the album Legacy. The nominations were announced on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021.
This year’s nominations saw more than one Nigerian performer receive a grammy nomination, ranging from Wizkid, who received two nods for Essence and Made In Lagos, to Tems for her feature on Essence, Burna Boy for his collaboration with Angelique Kidjo, and the father and son duo, Femi and Made Kuti, for their hit album.
Every year, the Grammy Awards are probably the largest night in the music industry, as the cream of the crop gathers to honour the best performers of the previous year. The 2022 event will be place in the Staples Center on Monday, January 31st.

All those years I spent practising all those instruments by myself to record an album I would play every instrument in by myself!! Notating the music, recording it with @zarma_studio, editing! Man! I’m stoked! ????????????
