Nigerian Superstar, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, promised on Monday vowed to make sure that his N250 million donation will aid children in orphanages.
Davido made the statement after several fans complained that the N250M would not reach the youngsters in orphanages owing to unscrupulous activities by welfare employees.
A tweep, @soibomari, said, “I told mum what Davido did and I’ve never seen her revolt so passionately against something. She said the money won’t get to the children because welfare officers steal all.
“I hate Nigeria. She said it’s so bad that nurses never want to leave welfare homes when they’re posted there.”
Quoting the above tweet on Monday, Davido said,
“I will personally make sure this doesn’t occur! I put that on my life!”
Recall that Last Wednesday, the singer urged his friends and followers to each donate N1 million to him in honour of his birthday.
Despite the fact that he stated that his goal was to raise N100 million, the musician received almost N53 million in cash transfers in less than an hour.
