Simi has taken to Twitter to confront the 2021 MOBO Awards organizers after they made their ‘Best African Music Act’ nominee list public.

Simi in a tweet posted a query as to why her husband, Adekunle Gold, isn’t included in the MOBO Awards Best African Music Act’ list, which includes Davido, Ckay, Tems, Rema, Wizkid, and Ayra Starr.

According to the singer, she is hopeful MOBO’s tweet about the nominations list is incorrect because she believes her husband should be on it.

Recall that Mp3bullet.ng reported that The 2021 MOBO Awards entire nominee list was recently announced, and Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido are among the ten African acts nominated for the Best African Music Act category.

Eight of the ten contenders in this category are Nigerians, while the other two are Ghana’s King Promise and the British-African music group NSG.

Apart from the aforementioned, other Nigerians on the list nominees include CKay, Tiwa Savage, Rema, Tems, and Ayra Starr.

The MOBO Awards are a British awards show that honours accomplishments in “music of African origin.”

The show celebrates the very best in Hip-Hop, Grime, R&B, Soul, Reggae, Jazz, Gospel, and African music. This year’s edition will take place at Coventry’s CBS Arena on Sunday, December 5th, 2021.
