Nigerian Singer, Iyanya has reacted to claims that D’banj wrote his hit song, “Kukere“
Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, better known as Iyanya, has responded to reports that his hit song ‘Kukere‘ was written by veteran singer, D’banj.
This comes as a Twitter user reminisced about the popular hit song, claiming that D’banj co-wrote it.
The post reads: So Kukere by @iyanya was co-written by dbanj?, we learn everyday sha…this song brings me good Ol’memories.”
In response, Iyanya stated that he wrote the song ‘Kukere,’ but that Dbanj’s part in the remix was written by him.
He wrote: No. Kukere original was written by me. Dbnaj’s verse in Kukere remix was written by him. thank you.

Recall that in the month of September, Mp3bullet.ng reported that Iyanya and his former partner Ubi Franklin have reunited their former Made Men Music Group (MMMG) Label.

The Music group which has been dissolved for five years takes a new turn as both parties come into an agreement.
Also, within that same month, the singer was announced as an aide to Governor of Cross Rivers State, Ben Ayade, along with 26 others.
He was named Special adviser to the Governor on Tourism and Entertainment
Iyanya hasn’t released much music in a while, but he’s still working on a new album, which he’s been hinting at for months.
He released a song, “No Where” with Mozambique artists, DJ Tarico, Preck and Nelson Tivane.
He also recently appeared in Oritse Femi’s new single and video, Number 1, which he co-wrote.
