The veteran disc jockey DJ Jimmy Jatt has revealed why he choose Djing as a career.
The Veteran Nigerian disc jockey, Oluwaforijimi “Jimmy” Adewale Amu, professionally known by his stage name DJ Jimmy Jatt, has given details of how he chose DJing as a profession.
The iconic DJ Jimmy Jatt spoke with UK-based broadcaster and ardent promoter of Afrobeat in the diaspora, Adesope Olajide, also known as Shopsy Doo, on his show titled “Afrobeats Podcast” about his early life, how he got into his profession, the Afrobeats wave taking over the world and many other topics.

When asked how he got into the DJ scene, Jimmy Jatt stated that his family had a big influence on him.
He stated that his father was a big music collector and imported electronics, which provided the young Jimmy Jatt access to all kinds of songs and even gadgets. Luckily for him, his mother was also a music collector.
He went on to say that the situation had an impact on his older brothers, who were music ans and eventually assisted him on his path to becoming a professional DJ.
