Nigerian Superstar Wizkid hit a personal record as his song “Mood” reached the number one spot on the UK Afrobeats chart, marking him the fourth Nigerian artist to reach that summit.
The Nigerian singer and songwriter Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid becomes the fourth Nigerian singer to reach number one on the UK Afrobeats chart dethroning Fireboy’s “Peru” with his hit song titled “Mood” featuring Buju.
This was revealed via Instagram by @wizkidnews on Sunday, the 7th of November 2021.
Recall, On the deluxe version of Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos” album, Mood featuring Buju was released.
The song titled “Mood” is the 16th track on MIL’s deluxe version, and it was produced by talented beatmaker P2J.
The deluxe also included three more songs: Anoti, Steady, and, of course, the Essence remix with Justin Bieber and Tems.

Big Wiz “Mood” has lasted ten weeks at the top of the UK Afrobeats chart since its release.
Surprisingly, Fireboy’s “Peru”, which was the top song on the chart just a week ago, isn’t even in the top 20.
Burna Boy’s “Want It All” is in second place this week, followed by Joeboy’s “Alcohol”, NSG’s “Petite”, and Ayra Starr’s “Bloody Samaritan”.
