This is why Lojay is the next big wave in the Nigerian music industry.
Lojay took the industry by surprise as he dished out a complete EP with potential singles like ‘Monalisa’ that will break out globally becoming the next big wave in Nigerian music industry.
With a musical style largely indicative of his Yoruba roots, the budding Afro-fusion artist’s previous releases include the 2019 single “Ariel” and the mid-2020 single “Ogogoro”.
In an industry becoming saturated with a slew of similar sounds, Lojay is one of the fastest-rising acts, bringing a refreshing and unique twist to the Afro music scene in 2021.
After connecting a few weeks back for an ode to love, with hit single “Monalisa”, Lojay teamed up with the veteran super-producer, Sarz, once again.
Having previously worked with renowned international artists such as Beyoncé, Burna Boy, Drake, Skepta, and Wizkid, Sarz is a huge name in the music industry.
‘LV N ATTN’ literally and simply means Love and Attention, Lojay and Sarz simply created a phenomenal, ode to love and sonically directed project.
The pace of Lojay’s music is less languorous and the sound is cleaner, the staggered flows on “Tonongo” are deceptively addictive, complementing Sarz’s pivot to an Afropop-soul fusion sound.
However, the EP expresses and excels on the depth of emotion that lies beneath the surface, inspired by the atmosphere of a strip club, dark and moody, and a fitting ode to the dancer that inspired the writing of this song
EP Breakout
The last time a project had me this amazed, marveled, and glued to my speakers was at last year’s project.
Lojay and Sarz, this isn’t music, it’s definitely something else! How did your guys arrive at this mad sound?? How…but then is Sarz and we know how he applies wizardry skills on projects.

Straightening out his vocals chord similar to that of Omah Lay, over an appetitive instrumental, Lojay makes a licentious accolade to a dancer that he’s not sure he likes or he just has the hots for.
‘Tonongo’ is the official pre-released single off ‘LV N ATTN’ EP, Lojay’s magnificent vocals alongside Sarz’s great production which whisk contemporary Afrobeats with collective Hip-Hop and sensual R&B sounds.
One catchy line, “you win the ex chick ballor do’r, lands on the right side of the beat drop, providing almost instinctual imagery to his emotional debate.
Lojay writing ability remarkably sidetracks between the salacious predominant of Afropop and a more ambitious style of rhyming that makes the downcast, dark soundscape he was aiming at a visible and special spot.
