The Nigerian superstar Wizkid has been named the new cover of Apple Music’s African Category, replacing Burna Boy, who had held the position since last year.
The talented afrobeat superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, has been named the new cover artist for Apple Music’s African category, replacing Burna Boy, who had previously held the position.
This was disclosed on Monday, November 1, 2021. Big Wiz just replaced his very good buddy and counterpart, Burna Boy, on the cover of Apple Music’s African Category.
Recall, Big Wiz’s most recent project, “Made In Lagos”, was launched last year and was his third studio album, arguably his most popular to date and still doing well on the charts one year later.

The album has gone on to break all sorts of records, thanks mostly to the smash tune Essence, and is being tipped for a Grammy award next year, and he unveiled plans for a new album, the artist has been earmarked for possible Grammy nominations next year.
Burna Boy has been the cover of Apple Music’s African category for almost a year now, and Wizkid has been chosen as the next artist to take that place following an absolutely incredible year.
