    L.A.X

    Damilola Abdul Razaq Afolabi, also known as L.A.X or Lax Starboy, is a recording artist, songwriter, and stage performer from Lagos.

    L.A.X was born on April 10, 1993, to Sifax Group boss, billionaire father Taiwo Afolabi, and spent his early years in Lagos, where he received his secondary school education at the prestigious Nigerian Turkish International College, Lagos.

    L.A.X has a bachelor’s degree in science from Salford University in Manchester, as well as a master’s degree from the same institution.

    DJ Cuppy

    Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, is a Nigerian music producer and DJ, as well as the daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola.

    DJ Cuppy took her GCSEs and A-Levels in London. Cuppy earned a degree in Business and Economics from King’s College London in July 2014.

    She holds a Masters of Music Business degree from New York University. The entertainer is currently working on another degree from Oxford University.

    Naira Marley

    King of Marlians, Naira Marley moved to Peckham, South London, England at the age of 11. He studied at Porlock Hall before he attended Walworth School to obtain his General Certificate of Secondary Education.

    While most people tagged “Marlians” to be drop-outs, Naira Marley himself graduated with a distinction in business from Peckham Academy.

    He holds a Master Degree in Business law at Crossways College which is now known as Christ the King Sixth Form College in London.

    Koker

    Olayiwola Olabanji Kokumo, better known as Koker, is a Nigerian afro-pop singer and songwriter.

    Koker was born in the state of Lagos. He is his parents’ second child. His journey to stardom began in 2015 when he released the single “Do Something.”

    The “Kolewerk” crooner obtained a master’s degree in creative arts from the University of Lagos.

    Ric Hassani grew up under parents who are educationists so it’s no surprise that he is on this list.

    When he was seven years old, Ric Hassani joined a classical choir. He was interested in physics, math, and reading as a child, and he was exposed to a lot of music. His father enjoyed listening to classical music as well as high-life records.

    Ric completed primary and secondary school in Port-Harcourt before enrolling in Covenant University for his BSc. programme. Following that, he went to England to pursue a Master’s degree in Energy Economics.

    Nonso Amadi

    Nonso Amadi is a Nigerian Afro-R&B, Soul singer, songwriter, and producer based in Canada.

    He began his music career in 2012 while studying for BSc. Chemical Engineering at Covenant University.

    In 2014, he stopped studying in Nigeria and transferred to Swansea University in the United Kingdom, where he finished his degree.

    He currently holds a master’s degree from McMaster University in Canada.

    2Baba

    Innocent Ujah Idibia, also known as 2Baba, might come as a surprise on this list as he doesn’t hold a first degree. However, He is a Master of Arts in Music graduate.

    Although He enrolled at the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT) in Enugu, where he completed his preliminary National Diploma course in Business Administration and Management.

    Idibia performed at school-organized shows and parties, as well as other regional schools such as the University of Nigeria and Enugu State University of Science and Technology while attending IMT.

    He eventually dropped out of school to pursue a career in music.

    On May 10, 2016, the Esama of the Benin Kingdom and founder of the university, Gabriel Igbinedion, presented the 40-year-old singer with an honorary degree at Igbinedion University in Okada, Benin.
