Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie who is currently in Nigeria for a media tour explained how he and Oxlade came up with their collaboration on his album.
In an interview with Beat FM, Sarkodie stated that Oxlade was the one who suggested the song, stating that it was a good fit for him. The interview aired on Thursday, August 18, 2021.
Sarkodie was discussing his new album with Osi and Ada on Beat FM when Ada shared an interesting tale about his song, “Non Living Thing” with Oxlade.
He went on to say that the Nigerian singer was the first to contact him, telling him that he had the perfect song for him. Sarkodie has also stated that the song is one of his favourites on the album.
“I love that record because of the story behind it. Because Oxlade apparently had been trying to reach me in the DM that he has a song for me. He said it was tailor made for Sarkodie. As soon as I heard it, I said Yes.”

Sarkodie was recently in the news for another reason that was not addressed in this interview.
The rapper was accused of failing to credit another Nigerian singer, Moelogo, for his vocals on another song on the album. He has since corrected this, and we believe everything is now in order.
