Mavin Act, Crayon revealed in a new interview with Pause Magazine that he dropped out of school in the middle of his exams to pursue a music career.
Crayon told Pause Magazine in an interview that was released on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, that he will definitely return to school, but this time to study music business.
Crayon signed with Mavin Records four years ago through affiliate producer Baby Fresh and his Blowtime Entertainment label.
He released his debut EP, Cray Cray, shortly after signing and followed it up with another earlier this year.
However, the Mavin singer has openly mentioned how he dropped out of an exam to pursue music.
Crayon explained that he had a firm conviction in music from the beginning and that nothing could change that.

In his own words;
“For me, I knew I was going somewhere. By then, I had already met Don Jazzy and Baby Fresh and I’m sitting around these two great people, and they would want to work with me.
I had a conviction from day one. When I walked out of the exam hall, it was scary. People looked at me like, “Who is this guy? Why would you walk out of the exam hall after you waited for hours? It’s crazy”. But I knew that it will be something great.
I’m just really happy about where I’m at right now and we’ll keep going up from here. I’m definitely going back to school to study Music Business though, school is really important.”

Crayon also agreed with Don Jazzy’s recent comments in his Bounce interview, in which he stated that the singer has not received enough attention from the fans. He claims;
“I agree. For example, today I tweeted about people saying stuff like, “After the Cray Cray EP you went on a on a break.” But I’m like, “I have been dropping songs, y’all not paying attention as much as you’re paying attention now”. I feel like they are paying attention now more than they used to in 2020. So, when everyone is like “Where you been?” I’m like “I’ve been dropping music – where have YOU been? It’s on you man.”
The singer also revealed that he would love to work with Stefflon Don, Stormzy, Skepta and Darkoo from the UK and Drake, Bad Bunny and 24KGoldn.
