On July 31, 2021, Erigga officially confirmed the termination of his contract with Emirate Records, the label to which he had been signed since 2016.
The announcement was made via a statement on Erigga’s Instagram page, @eriggapaperboi.
In five years with Emirate Records, Erigga has progressed from a talented Warri rapper to releasing six bodies of work and receiving two Headies nominations.
In the statement, the rapper also unveiled his new label, Area To The World INC, which is presumably owned by him.

The 34-year-old rapper, born Erhiga Agarivbie, has been representing the South-South since his debut.
He received his first Headies nomination in 2012, and he was nominated again in 2019. Before The Chaos EP, a precursor to his album was released earlier this year.
