Ebuka Obi Uchendu, a well-known Nigerian media personality, has nothing but praise for the recently deceased renowned musician Sound Sultan.
Following the death of legendary Nigerian singer Sound Sultan on Sunday, July 11, 2021, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu had the difficult task of presenting Rubbin Minds, his youth-centric show on Channels TV.
The Jagbajantis star died on July 11, 2021, after a long battle with throat cancer, and was buried on the same day in the United States.
Ebuka was a close friend of the late singer, and he fought back tears during his emotional tribute to him.
The tv presenter began by recalling his first encounter with Sound Sultan, and how he had skipped a school test in 2003/2004 in order to see the singer perform at the French Cultural Centre.
The TV personality said that was the first time he saw the singer perform and from there a friendship was born.
For several years, they were neighbours, attended family events together, and worked out at the same gym for three years.
