Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior, known professionally as Kwesi Arthur, is a Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter from Tema, Ghana.
He rose to fame in 2017 with the hit single single “Grind day” which received widespread acclaim and a co-sign from rap heavyweights Sarkodie and Medikal.
Ghana’s young hip-hop phenomenon
Kwesi Arthur as the dazzling rise of Ghana’s black star, with the support of Apple-owned artist and music development business Platoon, his most recent full-length tape, Live From Nkrumah Krom Vol. II (Home Run), was released in 2019.
It is the sequel to his pioneering debut tape of the same name, the sophomore album featured a star-studded lineup of guests, including dancehall legends Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, Ghanaian rap legend Sarkodie, and Nigerian acts Santi and Mr Eazi, but rather than alleviating the need for new music from Kwesi.

However, it only heightened the anticipation for a full-length project from the Tema-based rapper, he followed up that cassette last year with the aptly titled, however, his most recent single, “Baako,” currently generating good waves
It’s a song produced by Joeboy, a rising Nigerian afrobeat musician, on which Kwesi shows off his singing ability similar to his 2020 single “Turn On The Lights.
“Baajo” is an afrobeat anthem that combines the two superstars’ talents with that of producer Yung D3mz, resulting in a surefire success.
