Nigerian Superstar, Burna Boy has extended his winning streak as he becomes a 3 times winner in the BET Awards’ Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act category.
Burna Boy has dominated the category for three years in a row, surpassing his peers in the music industry.
He accepted the plaque for the third time in a row after he was named winner at the 2021 BET Awards on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
The 29-year-old beat out fellow Nigerian singer Wizkid, Tanzanian Diamond Platnumz, and other artists to win the award.
He attended the ceremony and accepted the award himself after missing the opportunity in 2019.

“I made it this time to collect my award myself,” he said before he taught the audience a bit of Pidgin English.
“I want to teach you guys a little bit about where you’re all really from,” he said, his mother standing beside him, before encouraging them to speak a Pidgin English phrase.
“Three-peat, that’s my third one, back to back,” he said in a video on BET’s social media page.
Recall that The self-acclaimed African Giant won a Grammy Award just a few months ago for his music album, “Twice As Tall,” which won the category of “Best Global Music Album.”
