In an interview with “The 85 South Show,” T-Pain revealed that he had great hopes to work with an up-and-coming musician in 2007 — Nicki Minaj – but that she ended up ghosting him.
T-Pain told the hosts that he was disappointed when his plans to work with collaborate with Nicki Minaj fell through.
According to him, She was like, ‘Hey, I’m an artist too, and I’m working on my shit, so ya know, baby chill’.
Nicki reportedly declined because she was also working on her own tracks at the time. Despite Teddy Pain’s request for a quick verse, Nicki is said to have told him that she was busy working on her own song. Despite the fact that her response was not malicious, he found it discouraging.
