Mavins – Dorobucci
It was indeed the start of something big, not only did it mark the beginning of the Mavins Empire, but it also launched the careers of three new kids.
Reekado was one of them. He actually did the hook of the song. I couldn’t have imagined the song better than it was, they all did good jobs.
If it counts, it’s Reekado’s first big hit, and still one of the biggest songs he’s ever appeared on. Dorobucci also featured Don Jazzy, Korede Bello, Di’Ja, Dr Sid and Tiwa Savage.

Honestly, Skiibii never really took off like many thought he would. Still, one of the most underrated guys around here, the talented artist has scored some hits, all of which are collaborations.
Skiibii – Sensima
“Sensima” is kinda his biggest hit, ever. It came at a time Reekado was in high demand. Reekado simply tuned the vibe, delivered an electric guest verse that murdered the whole jam.
At about the time Reekado Banks dropped his powerful debut, “Spotlight,” Ycee linked up with him and they did this hot one. Reekado on the hook, Ycee on the verses, it was like some American guys having fun on an afro-beat.
Ycee – Link Up
“Link Up” wasn’t just a hit, it was a big one. For both of them. Especially for Reekado, who needed to prove he has friends, here.
Move featuring Vanessa Mdee
Actually his single, but it won’t be fair not to include it here. Banks teamed up with Tanzania’s finest and hottest in diaspora, Vanessa Mdee, for “Move” a song that was an instant hit.
It’s every day Reekado wants to move to the gyal, but it’s not every day the gyal is a hot chic like Vanessa.
He was literally on a spree at that time. He was dishing out singles, every now and then. “Like Me” happened to come at the right time. Not to forget, it came with the right artists on it. Tiwa Savage was enough.
Like featuring Tiwa Savage and Fiokee
You can’t imagine the song without Tiwa Savage singing that “baby boy you be jailer, handcuff me, no go leave me oh. ” Really.
