Nigerian Disc Jockey, DJ Cuppy has announced that her hosting duty on the Apple Africa Now radio Show has come to an end.
In May 2020, DJ Cuppy announced that she has been chosen to host the first Africa Now Radio show on Apple Music.
This job made her the first African to host a radio show on the streaming platform. The month of May 2021 made it one year of hosting the show.
According to her, she is stepping down to let another host take over the show although she is yet to disclose who the new host would be.
In the course of her one-year hosting duty, she interviewed African artists like Davido, Kiddominant, Omah Lay, Mayorkun, Tiwa Savage, Rayvanny, DJ Spinall, Patoranking, Yemi Alade, Fireboy DML, Adekunle Gold, Nasty C, Navy Kenzo, Cassper Nyovest, Tems, Kuami Eugene, Wizkid, Wurld, Reekado Banks, Stonebwoy, Focalistic, Zinoleesky, Rexxie, Major League DJz, Black Coffee and Black Motion.

Taking to her Twitter to announce the news, she wrote;
“Today is my ONE YEAR anniversary on radio… and it’s been an absolute HONOUR to be the first African EVER to host an @AppleMusic Show #AfricaNow Radio has been a DREAM come true I’m GASSED for the next host who will do an LIT job at keeping our flame alive!”
