    In 2007, Omawumi emerged as the runner up of the premier edition of the now rested Idols West Africa reality TV show. She might not have won the show but her career was only beginning with hits songs released by her in later years.

    The Soulful vocalist hit the music scene officially with her debut single “In The Music” in 2008 and later dropped her album Wonderwoman on November 11, 2009.

    Over the years, Omawumi has managed to make a name for herself in an industry that is mostly dominated by mainstream Afropop artists.

    The song is produced by Cobhams Asuquo, one of the most influential figures in Nigerian contemporary music.

    The song is derived from her maiden surname and is dedicated to her late father, Chief Dr Frank Amirejoritse Megbele.
