    Popularly known as Tiwa Savage, the mother of one has had quite some remarkable achievements in her career.

    Other than songwriting for Grammy Award winners Akon, Snoop Lion, David Guetta and many more, she has been nominated and won several awards in her career.

    Soundcity MVP Awards:

    For the year 2020, Tiwa Savage is one of the few Nigerian artistes who had more than one nomination and awards.

    She got these nominations and won;

    • African Artiste of the Year
    • Best Female MVP
    • Video of the year (Winner)
    • Viewers’ Choice

    Headies Awards Nomination:

    Tiwa Savage isn’t new to the Headies, as she has been a consistent winner and nominee of the annual awards.

    To her name, she has once again been shortlisted for the 14th annual Headies Awards to hold January 2021.

    Apparently, Tiwa is the only female in the midst of male artistes to be nominated for the Artiste of the Year.

    A queen she is right? Here are other nominations to her name;

    • Best R&B album (Celia)
    • Best R&B single (Dangerous Love)

    Celia Album: 

    The Koroba singer deserves all the accolades, awards and recognitions she gets from the Celia album.

    The album is a master piece coupled with some amazing songs, without an inch of doubt.

    Being the singer’s 4th studio album and released in August, the album is considered an achievement for Tiwa Savage, because of the award nominations, recognitions and certainly the features on it.

    The Features include American singer Sam Smith, British female rapper Stefflon Don, Dice Aisles, Naira Marley and Hamza.

    In November, Time Magazine listed the album as part of their Top 10 album for 2020.

    Other award nomination and recognitions the album has earned her are;

    • Headies Awards nomination
    • Savage became the first African music artist to have two billboards in Times Square, New York on the album’s release day.

    The Celia album received 120 US programmed playlists across all the DSPs and secured cover placements from top music streaming platforms such as; Apple Music, YouTube Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, Boomplay, and many more. Boomplay made Tiwa the face of Top New Music.

    MOBO Awards Nomination:

    The MOBO Awards which is UK’s biggest celebration of Black music and culture took place virtually on YouTube and BBC on 9th of December.

    Tiwa Savage along side a good number of Nigerian Afrobeat stars, namely; Burna Boy, Davido, Fireboy DML, Adekunle Gold, Rema and Wizkid made the nominees’ list of this year’s Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards.

    Tiwa got the nomination for Best Afrian Act.

    Grammy Nomination Awards:

    Being nominated for Grammy is turning to be norm for the Temptation singer.

    Tiwa Savage along side two Nigerian superstars, Burna Boy and Wizkid have been nominated for the 63rd annual Grammy Awards Ceremony.

    Tiwa got the nominataion on vocals on Cold Play’s album.
