Tiwa Savage is one of Nigeria’s leading female artists but before she became the star she is now, she was turned down by various Nigerian Labels.
In part two of Tiwa Savage’s interview with Ebuka for Bounce Radio that was recently posted, the singer spoke about the struggle she faced before getting signed to Mavin records.
According to her, after trying to launch her career in the US where she was residing as of that time, she was introduced to Teebillz, her ex-husband.
Teebillz advised her to travel back to Nigeria which she did. However, no label was willing to sign her.
She said she approached Storms record, Banky W and Mo’hits records but was turned down due to the fact that they had female artists they were developing then.
