Burna Boy sent an appeal to the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN, Amina J Mohammed for help concerning the attack on Lagos Protesters.
Burna Boy on the 20th of October, 2020 tagged the UN and Amina Mohammed in a tweet asking that they intervene as the situation in Lagos has gone beyond control.
Amina in response to the tweet wrote;
UN & I are following the protests in #Nigeria calling for an end to human rights violations. I join the #UNSG in stressing the importance of respect for peaceful protests & freedom of assembly & call on the security forces to exercise maximum restraint.

Lagos Protesters suffered high death casualties as protesters were shot at in Mushin, Abule Egba with Lekki Tollgate protesters accounting for more deaths casualties.
