    Record labels in Nigeria are one part of the Music Industry that is striving and have done its job bringing out amazing artists.

    Though over time, there has been some negative news about how some Labels exploit their artists, it still doesn’t take away the fact that they are necessary evils.

    Apart from launching artists to the music market, Labels also engage in collaborations between its Artists especially when its owned by an Artist itself.

    So here are some of the best Label Collaborations.

     

    DMW ft Davido, Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Dremo – Mind

    Davido launched DMW Label in 2016 after leaving HKN Label. He went on to sign amazing artists and released ‘Mind’ featuring him, Mayorkun, Peruzzi, and Dremo, the top artists in his label in 2018.

    Mo’Hits Record ft  D’banj, Wande Coal, Dr SID, D’Prince, and K-Switch – Booty Call

    Mo’Hits Records was founded in 2006 by Don Jazzy and D’banj. The two had worked on amazing songs which still date are classics.

    They went on to sign more artists on the record label and released a compilation album called ‘Curriculum Vitae’ 2007.

    On of the hit songs from the album was ‘Booty Call’ which featured D’banj, Wande Coal, Dr SID, D’Prince, and K-Switch, all members of the Label.

     

    EME ft Banky W, Wizkid, Skales – Baddest Boy

    “Baddest Boy” is a song by E.M.E acts Wizkid, Skales, and Banky W. It was released on April 2, 2012, serving as the lead single from the label’s compilation album ‘Empire Mates State of Mind‘ (2012).

    Mavin Records ft Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid, D’Prince, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks, Di’ja – Dorobucci

    After the disbandment of Mo’Hits records, Don Jazzy went to establish Mavin Records under which the 2014 hit song, ‘Dorobucci’ was released.

    The song was a street anthem that was praised for its production, instrumentation, and composition.

    The song featured then Mavin artists, Tiwa Savage, Reeekado banks, Korede Bello, Dr SID, D Prince, Di’Ja, and Don Jazzy himself.
