Leader of the Revival, Ladipoe has explained the inspiration behind his latest single, “Yoruba Samurai”.
Ladipoe in a conversation with an online Media platform was asked if the term, “Yoruba Demon” inspired his latest track, “Yoruba Samurai”.
Yoruba Demon is a term given to a yoruba man who is a playboy and breaks ladies’ hearts. Since Ladipoe dropped “Yoruba Samurai” fans assumed that the song was meant to be the opposite of the Yoruba demon.
However, the rapper during his interview revealed that it wasn’t the case. According to him, his love for Samurai anime and Movies birthed the idea.
He said that it was until he recorded the hook that he realized that he could broaden the subject of the song.

I wasn’t really thinking about that at first. I love samurai anime and movies. I’m not surprised it found it’s way into my music. After I recorded the hook I started to feel I could take the idea really far. #YorubaSamurai https://t.co/AcvFBGVC8M
