The former chief of Staff, Abba Kyari passed away on 17th April 2020 while he was receiving treatment after testing positive to coronavirus. Since his death, the question of who will replace him has been on every mind.
Yesterday news of President Buhari picking Professor Agboola Ibrahim Gambari as the chief of staff came as a surprise to many.
Professor Agboola Ibrahim Gambari was the former Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations for the department of political affairs and is an indigene of Kwara state.
Yemi Alade to social media to express her disappointment with Buhari’s preferred choice. She stated her reason for being against the new Chief of Staff was that he was 75 years old.
ProfessorAgboola Ibrahim Gambari is older than the late Abba Kyari who was 67 years old at the time of his death.
