Nigerian producer, Samklef says that Wizkid paid the price for Nigerian artists internationally.
Samklef praised Eedris Abdulkareem saying he paid the price for Nigerian artists nationally while Wizkid paid the price internationally.
Samklef made reference to the Wizkid Vs the organizers of popular American Award show, BET 2015 drama.
Wizkid had joined other artistes like Fuse ODG and Yemi Alade to snub the BET awards in 2015 despite the fact that he was nominated for the category of “Best International Act (Africa)”.
Wizkid said the reason why he snubbed the show was that BET organizers had no respect for African Acts. He wondered why the award should be given to the winner before the main show starts.
The move by Wizkid to snub BET awards put the organizers of the show in the line of fire as they were attacked for being disrespectful to African Acts.
However, the silent protest by these artists got BET Awards organizers to change. Currently, The Best International Act (Africa) award is now presented during the main show.
Idris Abdul Kareem paid a price for Nigerian artist in Nigeria why WiZkid paid a price for Nigeria artiste internationally. B4 Na back stage dem dey give Africans award thanks to WiZkid . And Na 50k to 200k dem be dey artiste for naija that year. Thanks to Idris
