Late Dagrin’s producer, Sossick wrote an emotional tribute to his late friend, colleague as today marks ten years since he passed away.
Sossick was the whose magic fingers crafted Dagrin’s hit album, “CEO” in a tweet he posted wrote,
Peace god, 10 years. I’ll hold on to the madness that we did. The wave was like never seen before, and I’m proud to have been a part of it, a part of your life that history will never forget. A street soldier, a fighter, a legend, and the streets CEO. REST IN PEACE god
Sossick in an interview had revealed that the beat for Dagrin’s Chart-topping song, “Pon Pon” was actually a beat he had made a few months back and was trying to market to Banky W and Ruggedman who both turned it down.
According to him, when Dagrin heard the song, the rapper didn’t waste time in writing the lyrics of “Pon Pon” and the song recording was done in one take.
Peace god, 10 years.
