Zlatan said he had a dream of owning a record label in 2013 and he is living the dream in 2020.
The “Zanku” hitmaker posted an old logo of what his record label would have been called in 2013 and another logo of what it looks like now. The old logo reads ‘Zlatino’ records.
Zlatan first came into the Nigerian music scene in 2017 when he released a single titled “My Body” where he featured Olamide. The song went viral after a video of Davido dancing to the song surfaced on the internet. That also marked the beginning of his friendship with Davido.
Then Zlatan shot to limelight after he featured in Chinko Ekun‘s 2018 hit song, “Able God”, but gained more recognition after releasing “Zanku” which set the pace for the zanku dance.
In 2019, he featured on Burna Boy‘s “Killin dem” which is one of the songs from Burna Boy’s “African Giant” album. Zlatan released his debut album “Zanku” on the 1st of November, 2019.
Earlier this year, on January 1, 2019, Zlatan Ibile announced his record label, Zanku Records. The artists signed to the label are Oberz, Papisnoop & Jamopyper.
