First Omawunmi should be applauded for even attempting to cover Adele’s Hello, knowing how much criticism she could open herself to if she ended up goofing because you better not be ruining Adele’s record breaking comeback song.
Moving on, Omawunmi nailed it, although I ‘m still a wee bit skeptical about beat change halfway through the song.
Omawunmi unfolds “Hello” slowly before launching into a mid tempo reggae beat, even as she infuses her own style she still maintains a confidence that is only meant for vocalists of Omaumi’s caliber, her control is remarkable, her ad libs perfect and un- exaggerated, add that to her remarkable degree of control and even the introduction of the new beat becomes enjoyable.
This definitely how you make a comeback!
