Nigerian music legend D’banj has publicly acknowledged Peruzzi’s songwriting talents, praising him as “one of the best” in the country’s music scene.
During a recent interview with TVC, D’banj shed light on the creative process behind “Since ’04,” a song celebrating his two decades in the music industry. This revelation coincides with his praise for the impressive team behind the single.
He shared that the track’s melody and lyrics were a collaborative effort between himself, Peruzzi, Phyno, and Tekno. D’banj expressed his excitement upon hearing their initial work, saying, “ahan, o make sense bayi,” which means “it’s a good song.”
Since being released in early May, the song has been performing well. D’banj’s recognition of Peruzzi’s talent highlights the latter’s growing influence in the industry.

However, to his astonishment, his mother had secretly arranged a wedding ceremony for him during the birthday celebration. In a touching gesture, she surprised him and his wife with a ‘Happy Wedding’ cake, turning the birthday party into an impromptu matrimonial affair.
