Nigerian artist AG Baby, has expressed regret over recording a song about a past heartbreak involving an ex-girlfriend. The song in question, “Damn Delilah,” from his debut album “About 30,” recounts his painful experience with a manipulative ex-girlfriend.

As the album celebrated its sixth anniversary, Adekunle Gold took to his X handle on Sunday to share the album cover with the caption, “Happy 6 years Anniversary to my beautiful piece of Art. #About30.”

A fan’s comment, “Delilah will never forget this album [laughing emoji],” prompted Adekunle Gold to reflect on his feelings about the song. He replied, “She passed. Sometimes I feel bad for making that record.”

When another fan asked for the full story, Adekunle Gold provided a detailed account: “You people [stress emoji]. I have told the story many times. Anyways, I was in a relationship with a girl that had a boyfriend (I didn’t know). Me I don fall, but the babe dey play me. Long story short, one Saturday morning, I got a threat call from a random guy saying I should back off, I should never speak to his woman again. I called the babe immediately, she don block me everywhere. Lol. I got so heartbroken and made ‘Damn Delilah.'”

This revelation gave fans a deeper insight into the personal experiences that shaped one of his notable tracks, adding a layer of authenticity to his artistry and connecting with his audience on a personal level.
