Former Federal Senator Dino Melaye recently made a bold declaration, stating that Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, stands as the foremost figure in the Nigerian music scene.
Melaye, who represented Kogi West in the Senate, weighed in on the ongoing debate regarding supremacy between industry giants Wizkid and Davido.
Taking to Twitter, Melaye asserted Davido’s position, affirming him as the undisputed leader of the industry and highlighting his unparalleled global commercial success.
In his tweet, Melaye proclaimed, “Davido is undoubtedly the 001 in the Nigerian music industry and undoubtedly the most patronised globally.”

Amid this online dialogue, BigWizkid stirred up a storm by sharing a video purportedly showing Davido in a vulnerable state, kneeling in tears and allegedly pleading amid accusations of infidelity by an American model.
