Davido launches the Faculty of Music and Arts at a Ugandan university
Award-winning artist Davido continues to achieve new milestones in his career, recently making a significant contribution to the International University of East Africa in Uganda by launching a new Faculty of Music and Arts. The unveiling ceremony, which occurred on March 28, 2024, was documented on the singer’s official Instagram page.
In recognition of his contribution, Davido was honored with a hall named after him at the university. The establishment of the Faculty of Music and Arts aims to provide students with a world-class education in music and artistic fields, thereby promoting the growth of the entertainment industry not only in Uganda but across Africa.
Davido, who is presently in Uganda, is scheduled to perform at the Kololo Independence Grounds. Reacting to the university’s achievement, the singer expressed his delight in a post on his social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, where he conveyed his appreciation for the announcement.
