Burna Boy was captured in a video leaving the stage during a performance in Ivory Coast after realizing that his microphone was not properly connected to the speakers.

In the video posted online, Burna Boy attempted to engage the crowd in Ivory Coast, unaware that the microphone was not functioning correctly. He had headphones on, allowing him to hear the playback but not realizing that the audience couldn’t hear him properly.

Once he became aware of the issue, Burna Boy left the stage and had a serious discussion with the show organizers. He did not return to complete the performance.

Since Burna Boy takes his work so seriously, those who love him are not surprised that he went above and beyond to leave. As the Nigerian musician with the most Billboard Hot 100 entries, he just tied with Tems. In addition, it is included on Barack Obama’s playlist of the year’s favorite songs.

His ‘I told them’ tour of Northern America will resume in February 2024.
